I can't believe over a week has already passed since Colton was born. It seems like we have been home forever but like we were in the hospital just yesterday. I have forgotten so quickly what it felt like to have him in my belly. He is such a good baby boy; we have only had 2 rough nights since we have been home; otherwise, he is sleeping 4-5 hours at night and is awake for longer time periods during the day. I think we may be switching his backwards sleep schedule! We have started doing some tummy time each day. He will lift his head to turn it to the other side but really shows off his neck strength when he is hungry. If you hold him up at your shoulder, he will lift his head for minutes at a time to root around at your cheek and never get frustrated. We thank him for his kisses even though he has other things on his mind :)
Contrary to what everyone felt would happen, Josh and I have not killed each other yet. We are both contemplating how we could make money without working so we could just be home with the kiddos everyday. Josh has become quite the diaper changing, carpooling, cooking expert. He has been very helpful and as I start to feel better, we plan to get some more things done around this house; the move in process has not yet ended (the 6 or 7 boxes still in here taunt me every time I walk by).
Lily loves having Colton around and is proving to be the helpful big sister we all thought she would be. The weekend was a little boring for her though. Generally, we find something (anything) to do to keep ourselves busy on the weekends, so two whole days at the house was a little lengthy for her. Luckily she has had the little girl next door around to play with so that she can escape a little.
