6 Months Old

Mister Colton is officially 1/2 a year old! At the doctor last week, he was 20lbs 6oz (91%), 27 3/4 in (90%), and, his body has grown into his head, at 81%. He got a perfect report and we were given the ok to introduce any solid foods that we would like "straight from our plate". The only problem with this is, Colton doesn't seem to like chunks in his food. The faces he makes when you give him chunky food is priceless. We will keep trying and slowly he will get there.  Based on his size, I don't think he is missing out!

Here are some of Colton's developmental accomplishments at 6 months old:
 -sitting up without support
 -sleeping 10-12 hours EVERY night!
 -rolling any and all directions
-pushing himself backward and starting to scoot forward
 -grabbing EVERYTHING in sight
-recognizing and showing favoritism to people (especially his sister)
-searching for things when they go out of sight (object permanence)
 -holding his own bottle
-LOVES bath time, singing, and reading
-making consonant sounds 'dada' and 'ga' (daddy thinks he knows it's for him :) )
 -just like a man...."regular"...
-gives "hugs" and "kisses" (it feels like he might eat your cheek and it is very wet but still sweet)

....and I can't forget, he is the CUTEST with his chubby thighs and soft, fluffy cheeks.  Not to mention his easy-going and happy personality that I have mentioned many times before.

Happy Half Birthday Son!
